Change . . . not!
Photo challenge for this week is Change. It says to “show us change in progress.” I instead have opted to show one where change has been halted! Or rather held back a little while . . .
This roadside “cobbler” in Hong Kong has probably been here forever and it does not look like he has any intention from moving.
Perfect interpretation for the theme! 🙂
Thank you for your encouragement!
What an interesting photo. Love that his shop and the tree are one. Very nice for this week’s challenge. I am sure this tree was small at the time he started. Did you speak with the cobbler? I am sure he has an interesting story.
Thanks! I was with a group of friends who walked ahead of me whilst I stopped. He also looked busy but yes, you are right. He probably has a very interesting story or even two to tell.
Fantastic picture!
Thanks Joy. Sometimes it’s the unusual sights that we remember most.
The tree looks as if it could pick up its roots and walk away. The whole setup is amusing.
Yes there are quite a number of trees like these in Hong Kong. Some of them have roots that are draped over walls and fences like they are trying to step over them!
Amazing! Love this photo and admire the cobbler too.
Thanks! I think he’s done well to keep going for as long as he has.
Great photo! Sometimes change is good.. Sometimes you gotta fight it… Nice post.
This is so amazing! I love little interesting spots like this, when you see it, you know there is so much more to his story! This is absolutly something I’d stop to sketch!
