WPC: Tokyo Shadow

The Torii gate to Meiji Shrine in shadow with the DoCoMo Tower in the background. This is what I love about Japan. The old and the new blending harmoniously together.

Torii gates separate the sacred from the secular. This one to the Meiji shrine is made of cypress wood more than 1,700 years old. The DoCoMo Tower on the other hand is a mere 15 years old.
