Blogging 101 : Why Iceland
I have been asked often “Why Iceland?” and so for this assignment to write for an audience, I have put together my first ever list as to why we went to Iceland and fell in love with it.
Because its capital Reykjavik looks like colourful candy in a lolly shop.
And it’s most popular restaurant is a hot dog stand in downtown Reykjavik.
Because their horses look like this.
And it has the world’s biggest hot tub.
Because you can stand on a bridge that spans two continents
And where in the world will you find a church that looks like a space ship!
Because you can’t help but stop and stare at its mind bending scenery
A place where waterfalls can capture rainbows
Where majestic geysers gush like clockwork
And where mountains can swallow a house
Where giant moss beds fill an entire field
Where the land can colour and steam with heat
Whilst ice blue glaciers snake towards the freeway
Its a place where the beaches are blackened by volcanic ash
And icebergs float free in inland lagoons
Where diamonds can be found on beaches
And the landscape just look out of this world
Where at the end of the day, you can sit and rest
And watch the night skies put on a magical show

Beautiful! Enticing! I love the way you strung it all together. My daughter travels between the US and Denmark, always trying to hit Iceland on the way to Copenhagen. She claims it’s a magical place, and you’ve put that magic in a blog.
